As some may have read i snapped my tailshaft on the dyno, and now i'm in need of a new one. Only problem is ford dont make a 2 piece for my ute and the stock one isnt strong enough.

Anyone got some ideas what i can do? And if i go a custom one any ideas how long and what kind of price i'd be looking at?

Hm i might have to give them a call. One thing i was looking at was putting a xr8 2 piece on and a xr8 diff center, i'm just not sure if its a straight swap for mine :|

The XR6 turbo or XR8 2 peice should fit but will need an adaptor to fit the CV onto the diff. What sort of trans do you have in your ute. I may be able to find you a part number for a 2 peice shaft and FTG Auto salvage may have one there for you.

I've got the TR3650 5 speed. I know the xr 2 peice has a 6 bolt flange and wont bolt upto my diff, that's why i was thinking of getting a lsd diff center from ftg and just swap it all over if i can. Unless i can swap the flanges but i dont know :?

im not sure if ford will list the adaptor i speak of, youll get "what month and year is your ba/bf built" and theyll tell you it wont fit, but good luck.

We supply Ford the driveshafts. Ask your mate at Ford if you want but he wont be able to get the adaptor seperately as it must come as a complete shaft.

Yes. To both questions.

Although if your just going to be on the road then why bother?
