i know this has been sort of touched on before.

was thinking about doing this to my car as the clutch cable seem to be putting a lot of stress on the firewall and the pedal itsself im beginning to to im starting to bend the pedal.

does anyone actually do these convertions and does anyone know the price.
also i wonder if its worth having a look at the BA/BF hydraulic clutches as they should be a fairly similar set up.

meh any ideas or suggestions anyone

With the valiant we just got a hyrdolic clutch set up (they have a linkage set up originall) out of an XC for it (it was that or out of a Centura), clutch pedal from a corona, borg warner 4 speed single rail out of some old falcon aswell. But you gotta remember that that also stresses the fire wall. The entire thing was flexing and we had to reinforce it. Anyways it shouldn't be that hard to do anyways...

Don't think any E-Series got a hydro clutch?

first models to get them were ba im sure!

It requires some mods id imagine as you need to have the hydraulic thrust that goes around the input shaft.

You would know this but call mal woods,

Best advice i can recommend is to keep an eye on your clutch cable, inspect it regualry to make sure it hasnt frayed and moves quite freely

yeah im gonna check it out tomorrow ive been told maybe a bit of lube, i might even try a new cable soon mines super heavy heavier than most ive been in.

mal wood would be a good source his stuff aint exactly cheap he has the knowlege though. dunno i guess also a tremec BA 5 speed should fit straight in to an EF EL as well the are a similar shape i think.

might be something else to also have a look at.
