hey guys,

havn't posted on here in a long time but i am just wondering if its worth keeping my car, its a 95 EF with 250k on the clock, however still runs pretty nicely.

When i purchased it we found out the k-frame on it was bent, so this appearantly got fixed, however recently we were told by someone else, that this k-frame is bent.

My front wheels have shifted to the drivers side of the car, and i get decent speed wobble at around 100km/h(wheels are alligned), could this be the k-frame or is my chassis twisted, or something else?

if it is the k-frame does anyone know what sort of cost is involved with getting a good one and getting it swapped.

Thanks guys

Chances are no-one ever replaced it to begin with.

Replacing the K-frame is a reasonable job, you can do it with the engine in the car (supported from above) unbolt suspension, steering drop the k-frame etc.

Getting a second hand K-frame is easy and they're around $50 from most do it yourself wreckers.
Problem is, someone will charge you a fortune to do it.

I did mine around 2 years ago, not because it was bent, because the engine had to come out anyways and I never liked the dents on the bottom from rocks.

Speed wobbles at 100K would really indicate warped rotors, common and cheap to fix.

Speed wobbles at 100k also indicates wheel balance?
