I fitted a Kmac camber kit to my car today, car is not drivable yet but when i move the upper control arms they screetch. The noise is coming from the bushes, sounds like it makes a noise when the bush moves in the camber kit?
Anyone else had this problem?

if it's the kit i'm thinking of (the worm drive) not shim kit, as per other threads....i had nothing but prob's with noise.....even after changing bushes from nolathane to rubber!
went back to shim type & all's good.
have seen a few of the (worm/rachet) type for sale ......my installer refuses to sell them after the hassles he had with mine.

The only problem I've had with my k mac camber kit is people not being able to install them right. Once I took my car to a proper suspension shop and got it all setup I never had a problem. Make sure the bolts are tight as f**k on it

If the bushes are making noise, the only thing you can do is replace them with new ones. I tried soapy water, rubber grease & WD40 to try and stop the noise. In the end, I contacted KMac and bought a replacement set of bushes for about $60.00.

Make sure you tighten the upper control arm bolts when the car is off the jack(s).

Yeah the only problem i had with the K-mac on my car was the squeaking. I pressed the bushes out and put some of the bush grease on them i had left over from the nolathane kit i put on the car and i haven't had a squeak again as yet.

Oh and i also used a s**t load of Never Seize on the ratchet part and worked them so it was all throughout the teeth, it makes it easy to do future adjustment as they don't seize up.

Tricks of the trade :)

I made up a jig to fit in my press, it bolts to the exsisting bolt holes and with a small amount taken off the bush on the other side you can press them out no worries. I made up a few jigs when i did the bushes in my car.

Yeah they're no good. They are better in theory but not in practice. Harder to setup, not many people know and easier to get loose/out of alignment.

All you need to do with the k macs is take it to the right place to get done. I had problems all the time with my because no one did it properly, when they were installed one side wasn't tight, next time camber was off, then other things where out, one side got left loose again. Finally went to a good suspension shop, $40 later and everything is set up properly, -1.0 camber and all bushes checked out. So had all that plus nolathane bushes for about 4 months now and everything is good. Can't see how they are no good if no one bothers to get it set up right?

I agree apart from the bush thing I've never had a problem. You just need to go to a reputable suspension place.
