Thank you to Nick and others that answered my question about the tail shaft length last night. I already had the manual pedal box installed. It only took two hours to swap the computer and box over until I was driving an EF 5 speed.

There was no reason not to put the conversion off. I have had most of the parts for about 5 weeks. I was just waiting for the computer and tailshaft. I got the computer the day I asked about the tail shaft, That was going to be the only hold up
Photos will have to wait for a while as I still need to do the outside of it and finish of a couple of things inside the car.

It is easier to change the gearbox over then it is to put the pedal box in. With doing the complete interior upgrade from GLI to Futura to Fairmont I have had the darn dash out so many times it only takes me an hour to remove it now. So the last time I had it out I put the manual pedal box in and just waited until I had the rest before finishing the conversion.

yeah agreed
the pedal box is the hardest part especially if you have an alarm or car kit under there!

There is a mob that sells a pin to allow you to fit a clutch pedal without having to do the pedal box swap Look here ...http://www.malwoodauto.com.au/.
Also I take it you have to change tailshaft when going from auto to manual,is that correct.

You do not have to change the tail shaft you can use the auto one.
