Hi guys, just wondering if any of you have purchased a Mini Spool for an XD 6cyl. Im wanting to purchase one for my 6cyl XD burnout car. I went down to Autobarn and they told me the shops they use dont stock 8inch mini spools, only 9inch. Can any one help me or know of a place that sell 8inch 28 spline mini spools for an 82 XD.

Cheers,
Jason

Shhhhh.... lol. Its just filings in the spider gears

But yeah, X series and e series should be the same, MitchG911 has an EA LSD whole diff in his car. PS - you sure you have a 28 spline diff? not that it will matter, cos axels can be changed, but I thought they turned into 28 spline at the EB stage?

Cheers

i agree with justfordima, im pretty sure pre eb borgwarners were 25 spline, but you can still get mini spools to suit these. maybe even look and see if a EB series 2 on diff from a wagon will fit in the earlier leaf spring models. or maybe a XG-H ute diff. try and find a "high performance" tagged diff as these were the 4 pin centres even though they were open centre, std behind all v8's.

WTF at BOC lock.

Yea im not to sure on how many splines it has atm. Me olds want to buy 1 for me as me mum uses me car in the Burnout comp as well, so she is chippin in for half which i dont mind at all. (does a good skid too, has won 2 Female comps so far) The Diff is welded thus far and has 3.23 Gears in it, i dont think it will break soon as the car is auto, but you never know, ill check it out n go from there.

Cheers
