Hi all! I have recently had a problem with my 2002 BA Ford Futura and am just wondering if anyone can shed light on my issue. A few days ago I was driving my car for the most of the whole day and was driving fine. I got home and left the car in the driveway for around 40 - 50 minutes, I then got back in and went out for around an hour. I got home later that afternoon to find that there was a very large amount of transmission fluid spread along the ground (definitely from my car), from the state of the floor it seemed as if the fluid sprayed out violently from underneath. My brother and I took the car for a drive after and it was running fine, no abnormality with gear shifts or anything of the like. I am, however worried with the state of my car and what can / might happen in the future. Is this a serious issue or maybe just a minor leak? Really appreciate any and all help.

Jack it up and have a look for oil.
Check the fluid level.

Already looked under the car, it's evident that there is a leak but no prominent distinction as of where exactly. And all levels of fluid (except trans fluid obviously) has changed, dropped or anything. :?

I assume that you mean that all the other fluid levels are OK.

Check the trand fluid level ASAP. Degrease the area and have a close look.

Does the oil appear to be from the front of the box or the rear?
