I ended going to salisbury wreckers, it was the only one I could trust my car driving too. (starter motor is on its last legs, and I can at least get a lift home from salisbury :P )

Spent about 10 hours total there, got heaps of stuff relatively cheap too. Now I just need to get my head around wiring all of this up and make it work the way I want it too. 8-)

Good stuff,

Toquin

Did they pick the part for you or could you enter the yard and remove the item yourself?

Reason I ask is it's better to go into a yard , have a walk around and remove the part oneself, that way one can be bit more selective as to quality of the part i.e still in very good condition as opposed to one that's in fair condition if you get my meaning.

Bondy, Mate. I was there for about 10 hours rummaging through a couple of NL fairlanes they had stacked on top of each other. Had way too much fun picking things myself :D They didn't care about oh&s either. I walked in there with slip on shoes, in the rain, climbing on top of stacked cars and leaning out the doors trying to get at the looms :P

I know what you mean about choosing your own parts. I feel that if you're going to get a second hand part, you should be able to choose the one you want. One that is better suited for you needs in terms of aesthetics or functionality. i.e if you wanted a clock and one had a scratched face, and the other had no back-light; you would choose the one with no back-light because you only need a bulb rather than trying to fix a scratch.

Toquin,

Great to hear that, I too might go there and source some AUII parts in the not too distant future.

Yep, I think I saw a couple of air vents, if that is something you're after :P

Even the NF's I was picking from (had two to choose from, one is now completely dismantled by me on the interior :P ) they were just destroyed :/
