I've tried a puller, won't budge one bit. How do i get the freaking wheel off the pump. The wheel must cost 3 dollars to make, why can't ford just make it part of the pump unit and save us all the hassel.

LOL, there is a proper puller for the P/S pulleys, same as the one for the EF onwards water pump pulleys. Take it to a workshop that has one, wont take long and shouldnt cost much

i think its seized on because I have a pretty strong puller and i've put so much tension on it that the metal has bent.
Will just buy a new wheel tomorrow $18 I think

They are TIGHT. Anything other than the correct tool will struggle.
How are you going to fit the new one?

yea id take the pump and part to a mechanic who has the right tools, 10 mins and $20 or so bucks can save you alot more. :)

I'm going to buy a new wheel and if I can source it I will get the proper ford puller. Otherwise I'll go to a mechanic.

good luck with the ford tools should only set you back about $300+, as you need one tool to pull the pulley off and another to put it on.

take it to a mech who has it, save yourself the hassle.

I got a ford pulley installer/removal tool for $115 trade price at Repco.
Was a huge biatch to remove, so tight it almost broke my ring spanner.
So i didnt need a new wheel in the end.
