Hi all---can any one give me any ideas.Ever since i lowered my EL 40mm ,there is a rumbling sorta noise in the left hand side.springs and shocks are new,bushes seem ok and its not bottoming out on the bump stops.Any ideas? thanks .

does it progressively get worse/louder as u increase speed, if so, maybe a wheel bearing, but u say it's only done it since you have lowered it.
check that your exhaust isnt' hitting the diff, mine was, it's been replaced since.

It doesnt have something to do with your pinion angles does it?

Pinion angle seems ok.Ive checked the wheel bearings and their ok too.Its GMF.Definately sounds like a suspension noise.IE -I hear the noise when the suspension is working on rough roads ,etc.Any more clues? :? :?

i bought some shocks for my old mini, and straight outta the box, they made a clunk, but i sold if before it got to me

had the same kind of noise in my car after i lowered i could have sworn it sounded like worn bushes in my sway bar or control arms.... but turnd out it was my sway bar was resting on my exhaust so it kind of touched it..... just make sure nufin is touching eachother now it is low
just get a mate to bounce ur car up and down while u have a look under neath to see if anyfin is hitting

Thanks for the help guys.Took the new shock out---put the old one back in ---and bingo---nice n quiet.So now illswap the noisy KYB for a new one an im all set.Thanks again
