Is it worth finding out? I'd just get the proper switch.

this is a discussion about the mod, i was just curious to what it did....

could be used as a deterent for thieves.
if your car is in limp mode and they try to steal it would they really try to get away from the crime sceen in limp mode? ....they might just abandon the car.

is it possiable to disable gear shifts using a similar setup to all solinoids ?

Why not just fit an immoboliser and kill switch so that they can't start the car to begin with? And an alarm to keep them otu of it?

Fair call. I guess there's only one real way to find out, and I know I don't wanna use my car to test!

The back of the switch has 6 poles .... you use 3 for the shift kit and the other 3 for the leds ...
