worth it or not?? depends how fast you want to go.

question though... why does it always have to come down to money??
you can't go fast with out spending it. and if you spend wrong you only end up spending more of it

True. Well in my opinion I wouldn't go for a shift kitted auto over a T5 unless we were talking 200+rwkw.

i wasn't talking about the stock auto. i was tlking autos in general.

if you want to go fast and i dont mean 13s or higher fast, i mean properly fast, you dont waste time with the stock auto at all. you get an auto like a trimatic, th400, th700, c6, built for the job at hand.

built right anf matched to the right diff gears, any of those will be faster than the same car with a cheap 5 speed conversion.

wire in a couple of resistors and a switch if you want to turn it on and off.
it just shifts harder, and for under $50 its not bad at all.
just do a search for it.
