hey guys I have an EB fairmont automatic and for some reason it keeps
getting stuck in 3rd gear it doesn't do it all the time but it does do it a lot

can anybody please shed some light on this cheers

I've checked the trans fluid a couple of weeks ago and I flushed out the old stuff and put in new fluid if I got a transmission service could test fix the problem?

You'll need to pull the fault codes from the TCM - which sits near the handbrake.
Could be dirty transmission plugs as well.

i have also been told a dirty earth on the engine-battery can cause this? so check all the above first and also disconnect the battery and reset the ecu?

Had an EB years ago that went into limp mode simply because the speedo stopped working.....
