yeah the first isnt a T5, the T5 has a box just under the stick... and the box is a completely different shape. also by the looks of that one the selector stick is one piece with the box where as the T5 has a join

Yep your right, but i think the first picture is a 4 speed top loader, not 100% sure cuz i havent seen 1 in a while.

From what google tells me thats a c-4 toploader.

Yes they are both different, sorry for the mess, ill try find the correct details on this box on this thread but i mite take a while to find with just a pic but ill do the best that i can to help.

the gearbox pic posted by bob351 is not a t5 or toploader,it is a nasty borg warner 5 speed,these came out in xe and vh commy and old crap sigmas,they aint worth nothing,do yourself a favour and throw it to the dump.

yeah that looks like the early 5spds that were made by borg warner but are not the same as the T5....maybe still called a T5 but dont have the strength.....they were only available on the 3.3 falcon and 2.8 commodore because they couldnt handle the torque

ok guy's had a good look at it toay and yes it is a borg warner 5 speed my bad got told it was a t5 am i going to give the guy i got it of a blast thank's for all the info guy's
