Hey all ,

I've been slowly collecting parts for a manual conversion into my EL and a friend of mine gave me a good low K T5 out of a Commodore .

Anyways my Question is . . . Will it work in my EL ? I've figured that the bell housing and input shaft are different and will need to changed to Ford spec items . Is there anything else I need to change for this box to work in my EL ?

Finally , Where can I buy a new 6 bolt flywheel for a EL ?

Cheers

I think it all comes down to the gear ratio and possibly length, cause the AU's and Ba's run T5's but that aren't the same as the EA to EL ones... even the EA to EL models from EBII the gear ratio was changed

Yeah I was a little worried about the length , I'm not sure if the Ford and Commodore T5's are the same length or not . I know the AU's are longer then E series . To keep things simple I might see if I can find a wreckers the will swap my commo T5 for another one from an EF or EL ?

Anyone know where I might be able to buy a new 6 bolt fly wheel for an EL ?

Cheers
