Can anyone tell me where to get one of these and also how much, or if anyone can supply me one, that would be good too. My T5 arrived from Oz (bit peeved about a few things) and obviously the airline knocked it a bit and the plastic "socket" has broken in two. as per pic

Not sure where to get that from, but try a transmission shop.
While you're at it, replace the stock shifter with a quick shifter  phong =P~

Now i'm a poor Uni student, i have been working full time for the last 2 years, why did i not think to possibly do car stuff SOONER when i had the money.

BTW, wasn't there any type of insurance on this? I would have thought it'll be mandatory

Dont know. Have not heard a thing from the shipping place or even customs! usually they demand money before it is even delivered........ hmmm.
check out this too please, ecu-fuel-system-eec-f21/info-needed-on-this-looks-dodgy-t76376.html My ECU. i bought this setup off eric_eb, was meant to have a billet flywheel but that never turned up..... oh well lol.

Can get them from Ford, just note that XF-EL are different from the AU> one, so don't let them give you the wrong part.
