what the difference is between the two boxes (EA vs EB-L)
and can you fit a later model clutch into an early box?

I think as long as you have a complete kit,
flywheel clutch pressure plate etc etc of the later model it should fit all the way back to ea

EA is a 3 bolt fly wheel later model clutchs wont attach, EB-L is 6 bolt, larger clutch etc. box and everything is the same though, can swap the flywheel from one to the other. dont know about the T56 ones though

T56 will be for a 10.5" clutch plate I would say.
Ala 5L.
So stock 4L clutch won't fit, but a 5L one should.
Otherwise you might have to go some funky combo with a T56 pressure plate and E-Series clutch disc to match the splines on the T5?
Thats random theory, don't take it anywhere near gospel, its just me p****d and guessing.
