Hi all,
I have a BA Falcon ute with warped disks, and i think my brakepads are at the end of their life as well. I am after your oppinion.
I have managed to chase up a secondhand XR8 320mm caliper and disk set for $350, but both the disk and brakepads will be secondhand. I can't make my mind up between that, upgrading the stock rotors for slotted ones +replace brakepads, or should i just get them machined and get new brakepads? I dont want anything too hard on the pocket as i am only have limited funds. \
I know this must have been asked a million and a half times, I have read through the forums and found no clear anwer on whats the go and whats not, so any feedback is appreciated.

Cheers

They would be 330mm setup with the twin piston calipers right? just throw new pads and rotors on there, I recently picked up brand new slotted rotors for $300, pads will set you back about $100, or more depends on what you actually go for.

Give Matt at Race Brakes Sydney a buzz.

I think your right, could be 330mm, definately twin piston...
I have an AU with slotted and crossdrilled rotors, but the disks still warped.

For the same ammount of cash i would spend on new standard size rotors/brakepads, i could get a size upgrade and less risk of warping the f***ers.

I'm not entirely sure if i trust the slotted 298mm slotted rotors to not warp
