Anyone know what the difference is between EF and EL front sway bars?
https://www.whiteline.com.au/ lists BFF35xxx for EF and BFF39xxx for EL, both same size diameter. |

I'm pretty sure they have different D link mounting bushes.

Thats because the EL D brackets have a corrugation - they will fit earlier models.
You'll find the EL front bars to be around $40 cheaper also.

Grab EL links as well if you are getting the EL D brackets.
They are alot beefier then EA-EF.

Are the EL brackets better (i.e. is it a decent idea for me to swap my EF ones for EL ones (one of my EF ones needs to be replaced anyways)? |

I notice that Nolathane (http://nolathane.com.au/proc_selection.php) list the same part number for the bushes (42384) and cup washers (42933) for both EF and EL though... I'm wanting to get a new front swaybar - an adjustable whiteline one, so I'm just trying to decide weather or not to order the EF or EL one. I'll go the EL (BFF39Z) one if the D mounts are better design and I'll replace my current ones - links aswell if they're a straight swap.

Yeah the threaded parts are the same as EA-EF, but the link is alot thicker in the centre.
They will fit straight up. Pretty sure its only EL that got them? Do EF links kind of taper in towards the centre? EL ones are same thickness in the middle, don't taper in. EL D brackets will fit straight up, makes sense to do them if one of your EF ones is F**k.

Nah EF/EL must be the same, EA-ED are even thinner, the whole centre bit flattens out, I always thought EF was the same, obviously not!

The EL D brackets do use thinner metal than EF ones, but I'd imagine the whole bracket would be stronger due to the corrugation I've mentioned earlier.
