I just put that stuff in an AU XR8 and it whined like all hell. Drove 200m went straight back home and drained it out again. It was expensive too :(

Put in some Penrite stuff and it's all good. Why does diff oil have to smell so bad though.

Old fork oil in bikes is the worst, that stuff is rank!

LSX90 is ok for a cheap oil, made the lsd in my el a bit quieter. Nulon make a good friction modifier too.

well cheers for your suggestions,i have been running the titan lsx 90 for about a year with no probs,i guess the diff is just getting tired as shes starting to whine a bit so i thought maybe put something a bit thicker in.

I have heard that synthetic oils can glaze the cone surfaces over. So be weary of synthetics.

I've been running the Castrol stuff in my LSD for about 180-200,000km now. I'm serious!

The diff now has 356,000 on it and still quiet. I have a bottle of Penrite sitting here but I can't get the drain plug out. :x I sometimes wonder if changing to a different oil is a good thing or not. Things always seem to go wrong when I do that sort of thing.
