Does anyone here know of any places in NSW that will balance your driveshaft; Drive in and out? It seems I need it done with vibrations occuring at 160-170.. Not the best to have that happen, especially when I know I have no speed limiter. :x

If its a 1pce steel dont bother getting it balanced, replace it with a 1pce alloy or 2pce steel.
The 1pce steel shafts flex at higher speeds causing imbalance.
You do realise your gonna cop heaps of flack for doing speeds that high even tho im sure you do it in controlled circumstances!!!

I've only tried getting to that speed once and that was about 6 months ago. LWBs already have alloy tailshafts however I think I unbalanced it when it was hitting the body having had the wrong upper control arms once. I am not sure if it is doing damage being unbalanced at lower speeds, but better safe than sorry.

For future reference I just found http://sydneydriveline.com/auto.html on another thread.

Cheers.

most , or some ford dealers have all the gear that goes on the wds to balance the shaft on the car, which is better because it does it in relation to your diff and gearbox... i've done a s**t of BA's and territories with it...

what ur talking about is a system balance, they can only do that if it has a reflective sticker on the rear of the shaft and CV (they have special bolts to attatch balance weights) the system balance also only does the rear of the shaft and is only done on BA and territories.
