Hi, I've been looking around this forum and a couple of others and have found some really useful tips on possibly fixing the clutch problem with my ute. ie., real heavy, adjusted out as far as it'll go and getting grindy again already, firewall flexing when the clutch pedal is down, etc.. I am making up the Troyman plate for the firewall (engine side). My question is what's the easiest and quickest way to be able to get to the top of the clutch pedal to disconnect the cable so I can install the firewall plate?

And can you adjust the pedal throw or is it just tension in the cable that'll make it sit equal with the brake pedal? If you can adjust it, how is this done?

Pictures would be great as technical terms will just confuse me.

Very basic question for most of you here, but I know my way around a house frame but know F**k all about fixing cars.

Hey there... I know this was posted a while ago, and you may not even be on this forum anymore.... but in the hopes that you are, or that someone else may be able to help me with this one...

What was the issue with your clutch?

We've been through 3 clutch cables since buying the car about 8 months ago. And the current cable is adjusted about as far out as it can go, and the clutch is starting to grind again. It's always been extremely heavy... we're thinking that we may be up for a new clutch soon... is it worth getting the heavy duty clutch... any help would be appreciated.
