I'm pleased to announce that we're almost ready to release a new chat application for Fordmods. The old one was crap, I know! Please give this one a test and see how you go. Post any issues with it here and I'll work on resolving them.

i can't get this working properly on Boosted.
the names extend outside the frame.

dunno how much use it'll get in its own window, any thought to adding it to the bottom of the forum?

Haha. I looked at boosted the other day for the fist time in a while and thought "Damn you!" you beat me to it. lol . I was half way through writing my own AJAX based chat and found this, so figured inventing the wheel again was silly.

It wont be going at the bottom of every page - too much overhead. If someone wants to chat, they can click the link. It'll come up in a popup window in future.

looks ok, but found it hung a fair bit, the refesh timed out by the look and get left with a message hanging in the text box. happened as one user left.

so your cool with us posting our porn links in there right?

Is that in IE? I think there are some dodgy AJAX calls in there that IE doesnt like, I will re-write them myself and see if it fixes it.

yeah it was IE, FF works fine.
