Ha ha! Mat_Jew is already applying pressure to do just this! :D Nah, got to do some work to get it through rego in a couple of months.

New front window went in yesterday and I've fitted some 17" five spoke XR rims courtesy of Ballast. These rims have tyres with a good quantity of tread on them and the price was right. They're a 45 series tyre and the low profile wall looks a bit odd (looks like a real Latte sippers car!) but they'll get it through rego.

Already the Fordmods have begun!!

The good thing about these rims is that new rubber for them in an all terrain tyre is relatively inexpensive....that means I could afford something bigger in diameter, like 31, 32....hmmm

Cheers guys, reckon it will look better with 31s or similar wrapped around them, plus a bit of lift (of course!)
Got a few other things to do before the next Ford modification happens. 8-)

All jokes aside its actually a bloody good thing that is coming up very well each time you give it some TLC.
You are doing well with it.

Thanks mate, you know how rough it was when we saw it! I'm surprised so much of it's problems were cured by either cleaning it or adjusting parts!

On another note, I have fitted another Ford part (via Ryco!). Gave the engine a service, swapped the oil and installed new filter:- a Ryco Z89. Same filter used on Ford V8's.....hmmm. Could a conversion be sneaking it's way into the engine bay one part at a time??

2" lift kit was installed before Easter along with new upper and lower control arms. Ran around on the Latte tyres for a few months but yesterday I got some new tyres put on the little girl.
245x70/17 Maxxis Bighorns. They work out about 31".

Glad it's starting to look like a fourby, but a little daunting to park it beside, say, Matt-Jews Poo truck and be dwarfed! Ha ha! at least the Jeep is now taller than a X-trail....just.

I wondered why it looked much taller. Didnt realize it had a lift kit aswell.
Should serve you pretty well offroad and onroad with these little mods.

Told ya that would be the case. You just need the vision and then to follow through on fixing the niggly little neglect issues. The Z89A filter is as used on the S3 XR8 with the factory oil cooler. If you have room and want to save a couple of jew coins you can use a Z9. It will fit straight on.
