^^Yeah. It's a piggyback module that you bung onto the a*** of your EEC and can custom tune it to suit different engine displacements et al... Unfortunately, it has limited support for earlier E-Series EEC's and the EF EEC I have had issues with compatibility. So I went with a switch Chip until I upgrade my EEC to a later one (I have been told ELII XR8 EEC is the best)

Out of curiosity, for this application would a TwEEcer really be better or does it not matter? It all comes down to the tuner I guess but in terms of flexibility and reliability...

new Dyno! A couple of tweaks after my new headers and a few teething problems being rectified and ended up with 311.3rwhp and 450ftlb (610Nm) of torque :)

got my 300rwhp so mission accomplished! :D

That torque figure is very impressive! Nice work mate!

Nice power graph there tranzor, I'd be interested in the rear wheel torque figures rather than flywheel estimates. All in all I think it would make a great street car. :)

^^Cheers Dave,

It does. It turned out exactly as I wanted it to. Powerful but not over the top and still driveable on a daily basis.

MSD Ignition system arrived today. Blaster coil, MSD Cap and rotor plus a 6A Module. Question: Would it run without any issues after a straight swap? I imagine it would but I'd best ask here to be sure nothing might need seeing too afterwards. Will I need to regap my plugs?

Not sure on the module, but cap, rotor and coil should all be plug and play

Are the plugs new? If they've done a few ks it wouldn't hurt to change them out and gap them then...

The first time I pulled my plugs out after I got it back they were all over the place so it mightn't hurt to check them anyways.

I intend to (Just cos I havent inspected them myself since got the car back haha) the plugs are new. The coil has a much higher voltage than a stocker so I might need to widen the gaps. I installed the cap tonight looks great hehehe. Do the coil tomorrow. Can I pretty much just install the module and away I go? THe booklets don't mention anything along these lines.

Can you post up a pic of the module your talking about with the wiring etc? Then we may be able to tell you how it goes.

Coil shouldnt require a larger plug gap than 1.1mm by itself. Depending on what module your talking about, you may want to up the gap abit.

Jeff

The module is the MSD 6A module. Fits in series with the ECU and the coil.
