Gday all.
I have a 1972 4 Door Cortina that I am doing a BIG mod to. Hope you like what I have done so far. I picked it up at Morphett Vale SA and drove it straight into my shed, the next day it was stripped (by me) You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I started on the outside rear right panel and under a bubble I found this.
but it isn't so bad as its had some great panel work done on it by (the rivet king) You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Will be a nice job there, sparxxx. Cortina XL with the 250 cubic-inch six.
I forgot what a great shape those early 1970s Cortinas had (Ford England design). That is what the XA Falcon look was based on. |

a turbo 4lt in that would be awesome,but leave it looking stockish on the outside,even the whitewalls,it would make a great street sleeper.

EL Tickford donk. 5 speed. ECU which means I will shorten the dash and reshape to fit.
Power steering, air cond. smart lock. LSD from EL and trim from EL also. very dark tinted windows so you can't see in unless the dpprs are open and then you just get the WOW factor. I also just picked up a 2 door TD Cortina and will be doing something very similar. The 4 door will eventually be sold, but no way am I going to part with the 2 door. Might have to turbo the engine to produce some big HP. something I have always wanted to do. I had my first TC when I was 18 yr old and loved that car but this will have some extra bits and pieces added also. Those extras will be kept a secret until completed. **EDIT** Last week I was the proud owner of an AU3 XR8, auto 140,000 ks I then saw the 2 door advertised and sold it so I could buy it, it is currently not driveable as it was a project car and I then picked up a 98 EL fairmont ghia for $5,500 as my daily drive. Missus is spewing as I have 3 cars, 2 undriveable and clogging up the garage.

I love cortina's, they are f**k sweet. i will certainly watch this space.
I had a TE 6cyl ghia myself, slammed it and fitted a manual box, was a great car.

got stuck into the outside again today.
No more panel work so far from the 'Rivet King' This is the car I picked up when I sold my XR8. not a bad deal, I get to buy an EF fairmont Ghia 170,000, 9mth old gas conversion. new rims & tyres, new rotors and pads ($5,500 private sale) I then bought a 2 door TD cortina also. was just looking at something on the net regarding turbo lag.
best way to combat it, supercharger that cuts out when turbo hits certain RPM's. how does that sound?
