there is next to no room in that bay.

What is going to happen when the torques around in there??

As already mentioned, what about exhaust and the like??

You might to need to pretty creative when massaging the strut towers I think!!! :-)

i actaully have just over 50mm on either side between the tappet cover and strut tower. i'm going to talk to fat pipes at kallangur because he's the man plus has done my other 2 cars (98 s1 VT hsv XU6 and my daily ca18det gazelle plus a couple of my mates cars) he is a legend at making custom exhaust. i'm going to use solid rubber engine mounts and an engine brace. not entirely sure if i'll be keeping the motor or going a built supercharged 262/400 chev motor from the states. i want to keep the boss goodness but the chev motor builder in the states i've been talking to gave me the actual measurements of the motor he's offering and its 6inches smaller from tappet to tappet and 2inches shorter from sump to supercharger. gotta make my decision asap so i'll keep you all posted. oh and the car will be painted in a candy apple green, alittle darker then my old green gazelle in the pic below

I would very much doubt it will fit unless you are going to mid engine it.

Been done before - I have the "Performance Street" magazine in the cupboard somewhere with a blue Gazelle and a 351C shoehorned into the engine bay. No room whatsoever and lots of mods to get the radiator to fit(I think the fellow moved the firewall back to make it fit also...).

Will dig it out and punch it up here(if I can find it...). The same mag had the S600 Honda(?) with a supercharged V8 in it. Sprintex blower on the engine was punching out a whopping 500hp in a 700kg car.

Love the imagination of some out there...

With that power to weight ratio go the tallest you can, probably not going to need all those 6 gears either. :D

the security on the BA up falcons is tied into the ECU/ICC/cluster and requires all modules and a chip key to work - you can however get the security features removed

bugger. how much would it cost and where does them. i got a haltec platinum sport 1000 with long flying loom sitting here thats brand new that was going to go into my drive car but would it be better to run it on the v8 or just keep the original ecu and get the security things taken off.

One advantage with Boss engines is a supercharger can be fitted between the heads..
Height stays about the same...

run the original ECU. Much better and easier. Any decent tuner can remove the security features.
