The part number will be stamped on the front of the heads. It should also be on your invoice i think

Down the bottom of each persons post there is a little box that says "pm". Click on this and it will allow you to "private message" that person. Obviously only the person you are pm'ing can read the message.
Generally you'll use it for asking/saying things that you dont want sen over the whole forum.

That may be a good explanation. Back then they were fetching abit more $$$ locally and freight may have came into it aswell.
I got mine around the same time and mine were only cheap because it was a non emission pair (not as popular) that had been sitting on their shelf.

Sory to delve into the past tone, but are you able to tell me which bolts you needed for the FPR, as I've got one of the Aeromotive ones ready to go on soon and would like to be prepared.

Just to clear up some confusion which may be going on, Tony your heads are different to Jeff's. When we originally quoted on Jeff's engine the 1472 (pedestal heads same as yours) were $2750 +fr for a total of 2800. However as we had the stud mount heads in stock (1399 part number) they were a cheaper item (purchased direct from AFR months previously). However to use them on an efi application you need to use Platinum rockers which are over $1000.

Basically in short Jeff got his heads at below normal cost price with Platinum rockers, total price with rollers worked out the same as buying the 1472 heads and Street Terra rockers.

i dont really know what size they were, just took my FPR into the auto parts place and he had a box of all different size bolts, just tried different sizes till i found the right ones.
u will probably need a fuel pressure gage aswell, if u dont already have one.

I know the T/B is 82mm.
Cam in not sure but a bloke on AFF has all the specs. Theres also one on ebay at the moment.
I believe the GT40P's are exactly the same as those found on the 220kw AU's.

im not worriied about it coz i know its not gonna b fast enough as a 5 litre anyway, so im just gonna get these things together first. get it dynoed. drive it till i have enough for a stroker kit. then stoke it. the boys at A1 said i can run my heads and cam with a stroker.

Wolud'nt the AFR 185's been a better option for the stroker? The stroker would give you a gain in torque but not hp over the 5.0 as the 165's would be at their limit already based on flow.

Problem is you cannot use 185cc AFRs on an AU 5.0L without cutting bigger valve reliefs into the pistons. Which he didn't want to do immediately.

Yea I understand that but I could'nt see the reason for wanting to go with a stroker over a well built 5.0 as he has the 165's.Stroker money could be better spent elsewhere.

And as said before going to be pretty expensive building the motor twice.
