I use a stubby holder ho keep my shifter cool preferably a ford one

Badge blends in nice with the car mate. I was told once you can make a ford badge any colour you want, just by gently taking off the blue paint from the back and then spraying it any colour you want.

Well, NO!

I ripped apart the second new badge I got, and the blue is part of the resin. There is no way to change the colour without using new resin, and that starts to get real messy when you play with that stuff.

how about a light sand/grind til you hit clear...add some black paint; touch up the silver edgeing.... bang..done?????
if the badge is too thin, wrap some tape around the outer edge, then fill with fibreglass to desired thickness......

Am fairly positive they never made a pink one. Maybe PapaSmurf could waste valuable time scrolling through catalogues and confirm that.....?

you are correct fiend with ford only ever making blue badges, all the coloured ones are aftermarket, i remember about 5-8 years ago red ford badges were pretty popular, im pretty sure you can contact one of these badge makers and get them ordered in any colour you wish

Well, Friday night was a bust. Literally.

Every Friday the Sydney boys and gals meet at Liverpool to hang out. This Friday, I headed out early to visit bradley4567 and pick up a couple of bits from his soon to be scrapped ED. We were on our way to drop in on SWC before hitting Liverpool for then night, when at a set of lights, I put my foot on the clutch to select 1st and BANG!!!! #^@% @$@%# $^@#%^ Clutch pedal stays on the floor. Bugger!!!!

After pushing the Wagon through the intersection and on to the shoulder a quick diagnosis revealed no clutch at all, and that either the cable had snapped or the rubber dampener, which was now missing, had let go. CRAP!!!!!

We were about 10kms from SWCs place so decided to try to drive there. I figured I could start the car in 1st gear and then change gears by matching revs. Had to eliminate the neutral switch with my previously installed bypass and jumper to get it to crank in gear, but once that was done was able to successfully get to SWCs.

Now SWCs is about 45kms from my place. Luckily the Motorway was not too far away, and once on it I could get near my place and only have a few sets of traffic lights to worry about. So it was decided to head for home, which we did with relative ease. There is no way I could have driven home if I had to use non Motorway roads.

Luckily I knew I had two used, but intact clutch cables at home, but I did not have the rubber dampener. I decided I would drive to a Ford Dealer in the morning and hope they had one in stock. I also had to drop my daughter to work at 8am, and as there was a Ford Dealer near her work, and the route wasn't littered with too many traffic lights, I decided to head that way in the morning.

Saturday morning, I rocked up at the Castle Hill Ford dealership, but they didn't have the dampener in stock, but confirmed that Parramatta did. There was NO WAY I could drive a clutch less car to Parramatta. Luckily I was able to contact 'a-total_tool' offered to go to the Parramatta dealer and pick me up a new dampener. Cheers mate, you are a champ.

While he was on his way, I removed the clutch cable in the car, and found it had indeed snapped, right near the gearbox end.

The thing is, over the last 10 days, I have had to adjust the clutch cable 3 times. Now I know why. The bloody thing was stretching. LOL.

The spare cable I have in is worn and very heavy. I will purchase a new replacement shortly.
