LOL i know how you feel mate, even worse when it rains 5 minutes after you've just polished and waxed it :x

The Lane is looking bloody good mate, looks like you've made quite a bit of progress on it too which is good to see. Looking forward to seeing the T5 in soon

damn this looks good, i love the fairlane (probebly more then mick :P )

this is one fine example. in relation to the AU indicators, i have them on mine and just fitted them backwards and they slot right in.

the red rockercover looks great but i bet you in a matter of months you will be redoing it as you will soon see everyone has red these days lol. i went unique and put a dragon on mine.

Image

its a genuine EL XR6 rockercover, so the red is factory, the green is the same green as my fairlane

oh i also now run EF coilpack leads (just leads) so the leads run right to the back then down under the manifold so the dragon is really visable, i also done an AU cover with tribal flames, but that is now signed by craig lowndes (i think thats how you spell it) so it wont be going on the car

Nice rocker cover huggie thats awesome never crossed my mind to do something unique like graphics. I want to keep the red theme going like the dash rocker cover extractors then the pulleys when i get so money to do the serpentine conversion. I fitted my clear au ones backwards to i actually prefer them that way to i still had to file a bit to make them fit though. You have an el engine in your lane?.

My starter motor crap itself yesterday talk bout p****d off lol. Luckily i have the ea and pinched the starter off that i thought it was just the solaniod and change the noid over but it back together just to realise the actual motor is stuffed  so back out swapped the noid back then in with the motor all sweet now :D

The V8 in yours must go well mick should make for a mad burnout. I've been doing good old stand stills LSD style of late stupid when i think how much the tyres cost lol but hey im 20 and a P plater come on.. :D

finished painting my extractors this morning

No burnouts in mine mate, I'm too old for that now.....hahaha! It still has standard diff and gearbox ratio's as well which make it a bit of a pig off the mark. But, on the other hand, it's a very comfy, low, loud cruiser
I see your a fan of the jimmy as well!

cheers, yeah i prefere the reversed look aswell.

i DID have an EL tickford motor in it untill a cam install put an end to a wade cam and tickford motor. so now its running a stock EF motor (ran out of rego while i was doing the conversion so its sitting out the back looking a lil sad but will sort it out in a few weeks)

EL engine is a easy swap and well worth it. do you have smartlock in your lane? mine was made 1 month before smartlock came in (GRR) but i also run a bypass to keep the tickford ECU with 300kpa reg. im also considering throwing the tickford cam in it but want to see how it goes like this first

ah your never to old mick (old bastard) na lol yea have to love the jimmy mate where cars frustrate jimmy calms :)

i have smartlock huggie but since i rebuilt this engine i don't really want to get rid of it mate. Feel like im wasting the rebuild on the auto by sicking this manual in it but hey its only money that i don't have..

ACL make a sheet of heat sheild, i believe its about $55 a sheet which is pretty good, or you can go the metal/stainless metal cover that some members have
