its just a thick sheet of plastic a bit like the heavy duty plastic bags fridges and washers come in, cut it out so the door handle can poke thru and the window winder too, then use contact adhesive of even 100 mile an hour tape to hold it to the door inner frame
it stops the moisture/rain from getting on the door trims' wooden/cardboard backings and warping |

UPDATES
ok well this morning i discovered that the window will come out with a bit of force, shortly im off to give mercedes benz my bank details, Woop Woop New job. Also on My xc today the drivers side passenger door will be getting reprimed and painted white, hope my first attempt at spraying comes up good, lol yesterday i replaced the starter motor with one off an el wagon, they bolt up perfect but wiring is different, so i had the auto electrician who wired it up for the large price of $0 ha, i went to school with him so mates rates. then it turns over like its about to take off but no spark, so out come all the plugs to see that one was crushed. after zipping down to supercheap before they close and $25 later engine fires up on first crank, Wonderful, even started this morning first go with no choke or nothing, it might have something to do with the starter motor turning over twice as fast as the ones that came factory in the xc pictures of sprayed door will follow tonight. Brad

Well done on the engine firing up.
Don't worry too much about your first paint attempt. Just put on light coats, and wait 10mins or so before laying down the next. And if it turns out bad, it is only paint, and you can start over again quite easily. Cheers BenJ

i painted a blue panel for my ed, and i was able to get it exactly the same colour and when i got onto the final clear coat i hadnt bleed that air tank so it had a bit of moisture which left a brown patch so now im going to rub, it back and drain the tank inbetween each coat,

Gotta tell you when i saw the bench seat i thought how cool the old bench that's trick - no-one has a bench anymore keep it dude be a non conformist, as far as pearls go Lexus has a nice white pearl in the current range that is very nice without being too outlandish.

I think I might keep the bench actually after ripping the bench out of my previous car. Within the next few weeks I'll get the floor pan from rare spares it's only going to costabout 300 dollars I was surprised actually
