Hello all this has been a long time coming i have finally decided to make a build thread for my mont. It is a 1996 Series 2 EF Fairmont

here is a early picture of my fairmont

I bought it in January of 2011 for $5000 after i traded in my old ed falcon which the salesman took a $1000 of the original asking price of $6000

Too date i have done the following modifications they are only small modifications so far

Mp3 Player

New rear speakers

El chaser cluster

el fairmont chrome grille

cornering lights

painted dash -in progress

thats about it so far

man you got stung bad paying $5000 plus a trade in for a faimont, i payed $1000 for my first one and 3000 for my second one and $3000 was too much,
exhaust systems are cheap on ebay, cant get one for 220 odd delivered to your door, just need to fit it yourself which isnt very hard

Yeah never go to a car yard lol
I got my xr6 for $6300 he wanted $6800 for it ,

I like the burgundy fairmonts , has a good sparkle in the sun.

You'd hope it's in fantastic condish for what you paid,

i know i paid a lot but im 2nd owner serviced at ford its whole and in very good nick inside n out and came with 5 brand new tyres

Looks clean dude 8-) seems liek you have covered most of what can be done inside the car, maybe lower it, some rims and an exhaust ??

cheers dude yeah i do wana lower it a bit and put an exhaust with extrators and hopefully get a tickford kit for it also still got a little to do to the inside want chrome door handles chrome handbrake button and leather handbrake and gear shifter

That's true and body kit would look nice on the purple colour.
Yeah I was going to mention the chrome door handles but wasnt to sure if you had them already as it being a fairmont.

i believe only the fairmont ghias and fairlane/ltd came with them stock7

also id like to give my radio surround a wood-grain look can someone tell me what is involved in doing this?

u either have to get a proper wood grain surround. or possibly a sticker sheet in wood grain ??

problem is they never made a single din woodgrain radio surround but i have found some vinyl that should do the trick

Nice and tidy mont you have there mate.

Good place to start as it has all the electric goodies already installed.

What colour interior does it have?

Re the chrome door handles, I have some I am willing to part with if you are interested.
