Found my braided oil drain hose is melting from the heat of the manifold as well, going to order an xr6t steel drain pipe through ford tomorrow. Was trying to figure out whether they would fit with a 35r and 6 boost and after sifting through some build threads found someone was also running same factory pipe.

$120 from ford :/ owell im going to bite the bullet and just get it for peace of mind. Hopefully have it on by the weekend for test n tune sat night.

Sounds like you've got some heat issues rofl maybe time to heat wrap or at least ceramic coat to try lock that heat in.

Yeah if I ever have the gear off the car again ill get manifold, rear housing and dump pipe coated. Sounds like a good option in my opinion. But I'll sort these little issues first cause not much else melts. Just drain hose and silicon joiner. But I do want under bonnet temps to be cooler. Would probably explain it not taking as much timing as before because of inlet air temps... Ill get an air temp sensor for it too. Currently runs no air temp sensor haha.

Hey mate I was looking through the build again to see if you had a BOV. Saw one installed near the catch can when you put the new one in, do you still have it in there ? I bought one of those cheaper hks ones from ebay and still not sure if I should put it in or not :?

Yeah bov has always been there. Otherwise it would be a dose machine. Plus it would slow spool time between gear changes if I didn't have one.

haha yeah I was wondering if you were always dosing the car or not. Looks like with the spool time it's worthwhile installing it, hopefully the hks one I got works ok.

If you've allready bought it there's no point buying another. Just see how it goes. As long as it doesn't leak it should be right. Just adjust it up to the hardest setting should be right.
