Have you noticed how the G6/G6E have a chrome door trim (see picutre)... is that a possible mod?

This is also just another thought - how would Chrome headlights look? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-Ford-FG-Fa ... 520wt_1139

Yeah it is possible, you can buy kits on eBay to finish off the chrome trim on the Xt's. was looking at doing it myself. But now I don't know... :/ too many decisions...

Those headlights look pretty full on, would like to see a picture of those lights on a car... Might look really good with all the other g6e chrome trimming.

The chrome strips imo would look really good! Where can I find them?? As for chrome headlights I think they might be pushing it (especially on my car - I have too much chrome

CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH CHROME RARRRRR

Lol those trims would look awesome, and I reckon the headlights would suit if you did have more chrome, as it will fit in with the rest.

I found some universal trip kits on eBay
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/25MM-X-5M-DE ... 137wt_1271
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Triple-Chrom ... 963wt_1271
Im not sure if they'd look too cheapy, unless you could get the trim off a wrecking G6E?

I believe the some of the G6E's come standard with chrome headlights (I think?? Not totally sure)... I just thought if you were going to get the G6E bumper you'd might as well put the chrome lights in.

Good to see the car coming along. im thinking of doing a project similar soon.

Lol nah I seriously have too much chrome!!

And yeah they look a tad cheapo. Might have to go with a wrecking G6E.

I thought the only difference between the G6E and XT front lights was that projector light beam thing is standard on the G6E?

And thanks haha, long way to go!

I think the lights were high series in mk one, and all of mk two.

I think if your going to do chrome, you gotta go all out ;)

LOL BEST QUOTE!

Okay it's a deal. If I end up getting the G6E grille, I WILL FULLY CHROME THE CAR OUT.

YAY!!!

NEK MINNIT

Chrome doors, tint, hood, boot, roof, grille, lights etc etc.

Btw guys, start recommending new exhausts/mufflers for me! My current exhaust/muffler has a hole and needs to be fixed :\

Wanting something loudish, but not too loud, and with one larger tip like the G6E's.

Hmm to keep with your car I would get a stock tail pipe to go with the rear bar. But that's just me... And if you want loud, single 2.5" minimal muffler high flow cat and headers... My ute had tiger headers, high flow 200 cell cat to straight through muffler. Was loud, had a nice idle note. But got a bit droany on the highway...

Lol okay, I'm a noob so half of that didn't make sense to me :S lol

But fair enough, I just want something that's a bit better then stock in terms of sound, and improves performance. Something not too expensive, just right.

Link away!

Well if your not going to be chasing killer wasps or racing all day long... Just get any headers you want, the lower the number of cells (generally 300/200/100) the higher the flow, and 2.5" obviously the size of the pipe and muffler setup will be a big contributing factor to the sound. I had straight through, minimal flow obstruction and maximum noise... Just have a little look around. Find out how loud you want it, then chase the type and number of mufflers you want. If you want to do it on the cheap, just remove mufflers from the stock setup. Will only cost you a bit of straight pipe and flanges, plus a bit of labor.

oooo, I'm undecided so far, but I think I'll just stick to stock standard height. Not sure I wanna lower it and be scraping around everywhere - the speed humps in my street are like double the height of normal sized speed humps
