Nice work bud!! Looking forward to seeing this all bolted up on the wagon.

Which Pick a Part did you find the XR bonnet at? Good score, XR's at Pick a Part are a very rare occurance

Takanini, it's been there for some time now, I got the head of it awhile back, finally went and got bonnet today :) Block is still there, as with trans. Pretty sure all XR6 parts are gone now though. Leather console cover is there but it has a small cut in it so didn't bother.

Cracked side-skirts in trial fit

Thinking that joining them is not really possible. I fibre-glassed the insides and added strengthened in behind which was also fibre-glassed but no luck, might have to try find a kit for a wagon.

A few years ago, I talked to a guy from Tauranga about side skirts for my EF wagon, and he said they routinely lengthen the sedan skirts to fit. It looks like they still do them. Maybe they can help. Here is their website: http://www.spoilerfactory.co.nz/

Cheers mate, will check them out. Might be able to sort something for rear bumper too.

Got my XR6 lights today, got a bumper sourced and should get that in 3-4wks time. Only need indicators now, wondering if I can modify original EL indicators to fit until I sort something.

Hey, Deff

I'm pretty sure the normal indicators will fit, but they don't have the parking lights, so it probably won't be legal on the road. The XR6 has the parking lights and indicators combined.

Used XR6 indicators are the proverbial hen's teeth! (As I found out the hard way after someone backed into my car) Ended up having to buy a new one from Fraud at NZ$358+gst. (How do you spell "rip-off"? F-O-R-D) Managed to get the money out of the guilty party, so all good.

Yeh I was thinking of adding the park lights either into the hi/los or the indicators, end of day it just needs to be a hole :)

Assuming so, I'm not 100% sure myself :) They just told me this is what they came up with to suit what I wanted :)

I think the first set of specs is the exhaust lobe (lobe E1) and the second set is the intake (lobe I1). So that would be 254 deg adv duration on exhaust and 277 deg on intake. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Got my leather steering wheel today, happy happy.

Also have decided to paint the car Matt Black with the XR6 Cherry Red Bumper and Side mouldings. I think it will stand out nicely. Still not 100% sure what I will do with the bonnet flutes yet but bouncing ideas around.
