hey guys!!! i was just wondering if changing the stock air filter "tray thing" to the K&N air filter tray, whether it changes much, or do u have to have more air going into the box??

I got my P's in april and was lucky enough to buy dads 2005 xr6 off him for mates rates :) ive bought some 20" rims but still want to lower it a little bit, but want to have a look at some options at other upgrades i can have on my P's, and also create a list of mods i can do after i get my opens. xD

thanks for any help :)

changing air filters gives a bit extra fuel efficiency and a little bit more power but it also means u dont have to pay 40+ dollars every service for a new s**t air filter as the K&N has a 1million mile warranty :P

as for lowering ... yes do it :P (im still waiting to buy rims )

umm upgrading to Cold Air induction to either a SS induction product or the Typhoon CAI (what i did) and a K&N ive noticed has made a nice difference :) and im guessing ull be aloud to do that on ur P's ... its different in WA u can do what ever you want on your P's :P

good luck

i would just put a typhoon cai on it and k&n filter like this blokes xr6 has and a bigger exhaust to get it flowing a bit better and a bit of a note, then lower it for sure
