as far as i had been told the guy that bought it new said that about 4 years after owning it ran into the back of the car (was uninsured and he raplaced the front with a set of standard lights rather than forking out almost a thousand dollars new from ford and the repair was done in Mt Isa back in 1997 i got the car with the original plates (but rego ran out but still have the plates) same as log book is all up to date till when i bought it with an original 112k on it. I paid bugger all 2 years ago when i got it (needed loads of new stuff) springs, shocks, exhaust, windscreen, balljoints, new suspention rubbers and bushes, front rotors were buggered(scratched bad prob due to only having 2 sets of brakepads over 100k lol) so i went slotted front and rear too, mirror backing was pealing so i got a plain black set and getting the rest painted in time being when the weather is suitable

I like the S/C VCT combination, though I don't have much to compare it to. Its still a work in progress, as I made several changes that haven't come together just yet. It is a powerdyne/capa setup. ECU is motec M800(all fitted by previous owner). I think M800 was needed to run the VCT.
It runs a 9psi pulley.

Good luck with whatever forced induction route you go. This is interesting to follow.

Because its AU the T5 will be 110mm longer or its 115mm longer i cant remember but its longer and shifter hole in floor has to be modded and so does center console as i got the T5 out of the AU i got the motor but after measuring it its soo long in the extention housing shame i know but dont know if the ext housing can be changed?

Extension housing can be replaced but the output shaft will still be too long.

Yeah the airbox but since the pic i got hold of a AU tickford big mouth snorkel and fits better too lol

bit of an update i got a complete conversion for my ed xr6 but less gearbox so im on the hunt for a good condition T5 gearbox now and then put a gasket kit through the AU motor i have (just for peice of mind about leaks lol may as well do it while its out) then in with the AU motor with the VCT head and manual ive since then picked up the ebgt body kit and is being sanded as we speak getting ready for paint ( finally ) and when i get it back im converting it all to Serpintine set up and doing the AU mod to the K-frame soon as i locate a good T5

Now my question is this (ive posted a wanted ad but) can anyone help me locate a T5?

im looking at doing a VCT conversion on my au...cheating i know.
iv sourced a head, the solanoid, oil return, power steering cover and the start of the loom with the plug.

i have ordered the rpm switch from jaycar.
also have a 3.5bar fuel reg in the shed so that will be making its way on too.

anything i have forgotten....i know ill need gaskets and such.

any help would be great.

also the power steering pump bracket is different as the vct bracket has the extra belt idler pulley mounted onto it...
