hey guys, i will be starting the build on the good old 95 ef futura, im getting a ticky head and ticky cam off my mates 98 fairmont ghia..next week for $200...it was recond about 40,000k's ago. im waiting on prices for all the gaskets on the motor, gonna replace them all to fix any and all oil leaks, ill be chaising down a 300kpa XR6 fuel reg and AU injectors for the ticky head aswell..going to be doing a trans service while im at it all..
current mods include;
2.5" lukey cat back zorst
blue LED cluster

future mods include;
Ticky head and cam
300kpa XR6 fuel reg
AU injectors
pacemaker PH4499 extractors bolted onto a standard gutted cat
a mild cam..(not sure what i wana get yet )
J3 chip
auto shift kit
19" dark agent rims
super low springs at front, ultra low springs at back and new shocks all around

and others include;
complete paint restoration
fairmont ghia leather seats
XR6 police cluster

im sure there is more but i cant think of it atm lol i will update though

i will upload some pics of the car in it's current state in the next day or 2 and will upload pics of engine work being done ect...

Well your off to a good start. If your going to do the shocks and springs you should think about doing all the bushes as well. I have just done the rear ones on mine as well as the shocks. As soon as the front bushes and shocks turn up I will be starting on doing them as well

hey guy just an update, i got a set of pacemaker 4499 extractors and a hiflo cat today..ill be putting them on tomorrow..and im getting the ticky head and cam in a week...then i gotta start saving for all the gaskets and seals :) then will be pulling the motor out, replacing all the seals, gaskets and head and then back in she goes :)

pacey extractors on and cat is on, sounds like the extractors are leaking real bad so ill be pulling them off soon and putting a new gasket on...will upload pics soonish

just another update, im picking up some AU injectors, AU fuel rail, AU fuel reg and some new suspension with in the next few days...will post more pics and update again soon :)

update

will the AU fuel reg help with performance, idle quality? or is there no dif at all?

well guys looks like the plans have changed, iv scored a worked motor, 5 speed manual conversion and an XR8 diff...not sure when im getting it though

well we pulled the new motor out yesterday, along with a new cruise control module, new fan/ac module, and some other bits and pieces...cruise is now fixed...fan is now fixed..new motor going in, in about a week...gots some pics coming :)

nie work on the kids gym set. I would be workiing on the interior while the engines out, finishing the colour change on the trim and hiding the tweeter into the door trim or back under the dash. keep up the great work

haha thanks, im not going to do any more painting inside the car, gonna focus on the new motor and the out side of it, gonna put a weekend aside and give it a good clean, cut, polish and a wax...the guy i got the motor off said it has a bigger cam in it....how would i identify the cam? do i have to remove the rocker gear to do so?

I dont know, if something broken or fails I can replace it but internal engine I havent had a chance to play with.

will i need a new BCM for a manual conversion?
