ok some of you may have seen my green ef turbo. well that is my weekend car. as a daily driver i decided to get another e series and leave it stock auto.... HAHA funny how things change... anyways i bought a el fairmont burgendy in colour from an auction house in adelaide for 5k. all factory with only 112thou ks on the clock. after a massive clean it was all good.. i had left it standard for a few months until my pesky little cousin in his el xr6 manual tried to race me(stupid i know). anyways he flogged the s**t outta me and i was embarresed so i decided to build it up a bit. i had my old zorst system from my ef before it was turbo which consisted of pacemaker headers hi flow cat and 2.5"" mandrel bent zorst with a lukey racer muffler. so i fitted that up and also made up a 3"CAI and used my old ss inductions kit from my ef... it went a little better but was still slow. in the mean time my cousins el was defected for too large rims which were 18 typhoon copys so to help him out we swapped rims for a while
Image

while i had those rims i sourced a manual box for a bloke on fordmds and put it in... easy peasy job... from the same bloke i also found a full set of el ghia trims... so yoink
Image
Image

fitted them up and she was great but my couisin decided he wanted his rims back and it left my car looking ugly as. and then derrrr i realised i had taken my gtps off my ef to make it look more stealth so fitted them up and now she is a looker
Image
Image
i also lowered it on some kings springs and thats it for now. i have been spending money on a jmm head for my ef turbo
i eventually want to put a lsd in my fairmont but i priced up a lsd conversion and 3.73 gear ratios and i had very little change left from 2k which is madness. everwhere i rang that was the price so ill eventually find a second hand one and chuck it in

Took her to the drags the other week while my ef turbo was off the road(dam timing chain) and managed a best of 9.90 which I thought was alright but nothing special so I decided to put a cam in it so I ordered a 1673 from wade and put it in and bam she is alive. I have sourced a 3.45 lsd which ill be putting in soon and I've been considering getting a pre tuned j3 chip then ill take it back to the drags and see how much I've improved it
