Well time for an update.
I've bought and organised a few things the past week. Purchased a worked i6 to be swapped with the slightly worn out one I currently have, thanks to MAD. Attachment: Engine.jpg ALSO purchased some 4480's to go on as well  A custom exhaust is soon to follow.Attachment: 330520_10150491757543329_555133328_8244332_1243851887_o.jpg Other than that, the Ghia has only recieved a nice coat of overspray thanks to a nearby workshop -_- You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. The engine bay came up very nice mate looks lovely and clean !
Those 4480's look great as well !! All the twists n turns

Last pic's not working. Best E series color imo, i've just bought one few weeks ago with ticky kit/grey interior.
That engine's such a s***, F**k it went hard lol.

Sparkling Burgandy looks amazing
 I want to get a ticky kit eventually. But that is last on my list. Also do you know this motor? Were you the one who sold it to MAD? Lol |

Lol Ye he bought it off me, i bought it off another member, Stoj79 he had it put together. I bought it off him and never ended up putting it in a car, regretted selling it though was a tough motor, you wont be disappointed.

Yo Fordmodderz.
My engine feels like it is going to die soon.. the oil pressure sometimes drops low, sometimes it shoots up almost to the red marker. It's got a water leak near the radiator and has a really slow oil leak somewhere.. The engine I bought off of MAD will be arriving sometime in the next fortnight. What I want to know is: Will the engine run fine (or even run) with the stock ECU if I was to put a stock cam into it while it has double valve springs, shaved/ported head etc..? The reason being is I don't know how long it will take me to get it tuned on a dyno with a j3 (It has a crescent motorsport stage 3 cam). Thanks in advance. |

Engine should be fine with the stock ECU if you run the stock cam instead of the CMS stage 3 cam. Double valve springs and the ported/shaved head won't affect the ECU or the running of the engine, the Stage 3 cam however probably will if using the stock ECU for now depending on how 'aggressive' it is.
Might pay to get in contact with Joe @ CMS and see if the stock ECU is capable of running the CMS cam until you can get it on a dyno for tuning

from what i've read about the cms 3 cams in there fourm they are standard ecu compatable

The guy i bought the engine off had it running off stock ecu.

Yeah as said, it can run fine on a stock ECU. But each car that it has been used in was a manual.
I'm not sure how it will go with an auto, so as mentioned above, best to speak to Joe at CMS. He's very helpful. It will probably just be a case of disconnecting the ISC, bumping the idle a little and adding a few degrees of timing to help it idle in the mean time. |
