After thrashing this earlier in life its time to fix the damage had done in my younger and stupid years. Its a 97 el svo 215kw. Currently just about to hit 150k. Its going to be a slow build but looking at full baremetal and not cutting any corners. Any ideas would appreciate it.

Just keeping an eye out at the moment for some nice engine dress ups eg pulleys. Any ideas on good quality? No one would happen to have an el gt engine cover lying around. The SVO cam with a cut down version of the standard cover but would rather el gt cover to sit nicely with the centre scoop.

Yeh thats right mate they were in that advertisement together. Im usure of numbers tho. Have heard there is not many full svo packages with the 215. There is another here in cairns but it is totally different. Doesnt have the body kit and interior and its the 190kw. Heres the advert.....
Image Oh the original wheels are hard to find they dont make them anymore. Was looking at the ba xr8 copies. Thought they may look alright. Over the prowlers that are on it at the moment!

That car was owned by a guy here in Brisbane, His missus told his sell that or his Brock EA..... The SVO went.

love the front 1/2 bar on these

when i had my bordeaux Fairmont, i was gonna use that SVO front lip and a GT grille to turn the EF into an EL GT lookalike

the fact that mine was a 6cyl meant it would have been a fail

nice looking car mate.
iv read that 3rd gear in the t5 was the weak link, build it up best you can then don't give it a hard time in 3rd.
does it really need a full bare metal respray? from the pics it looks quite good as it is

nah quite a few dents throughout and little rust areas. Roof has got major damage good old transport agency didnt chain it down enough on way to darwin and it looks like it bounced and hit top of the truck. To top it off company went under now no leg to stand on. Only looking at bare metal only because rather spend time and effort now and wont have any regrets when its finished. It is only a weekender when its finished might as well do it properly. As for 3rd yeh its the second box to do it to maybe its my driving but you dont buy a car like this to granny drive it. lol Just looking at differents kits and assorted stuff for the t5 at the moment. Other option would be a 6 speed from malwood automotive he is reasonably priced. But these kits looking better option. Plus doing it myself so will be a bit more scared to damage it lol.
