Hey All... thought id add my au to the "garage"
so this is it when i brought it around July 07 completely stock company car with 185,000kms... not the greatest... but it has a full service history and a 5 speed, condition of the car was excellent...   First few things i did are - Tinted the Tail Lights (only the red part) - 2.5" redback catback exhaust - Alpine MP3, Ipod Head Unit - Alpine Type-R 5 1/2" Splits  a few months later i brought some second hand BF XR 17" mags...  also brought a jaycar response amp and got my old sub of a mate thats got newones... and started a boot install  didn't do much for a while had no money because i had to get a new diff... so all i did was: - spray the grill and black inserts of the front bar a light silver - made some eyelids - brought some new center caps - removed mudflaps - remover drivers side wind shield thing...   took it up 2 Heathcote raceway a few months ago and got a 15.96 @ 88.46... the car could do better as it was my first time dragging... great fun... i feel allot more comfortable knowing what my car can and cant do know... will be looking at extractors and CAI the a Capa tune soonish... just sprayed the engine rocker cover... brighten up the engine bay... looking for a ef P/S overflow now...

have now finished the boot install and replaced the stock suspension with a Tickford suspension kit will get some pic when i get a chance

lovin the tail lights! looks much better than those s**t aftermarket AU ones.
edit: infact, i reckon they wouldve been a hit if they were released on something like the AU3 XR8 220 or T3 T-Series.

hears the boot install finished... all made with mdf, silicon, boot carpet, a few screws and some white contact...

you have done a great job on your AU, makes me wanna get off my a** a bit, but keep getting burried by bills etc. Saw yours go at heathcote, went nice. keep up the good work dude, is it still for sale? or you gunna keep modding it?

So have removed the AU from carsales... realised how much a project car was going to cost and how little i could sell the AU for...
On a Positive i have 3K saved up to spend on the AU... this is my list... Extractors and High Flow cat (not sure on specs yet and already have catback) SS Induction - Big Mouth™ Cold Air Induction K&N Panel Filter Flash Tune - Flash Tuner Excalibrator I (from PT Motorsport) Billet XF-AU T5 Quick Shifter AU Series 2 XR Rear bar Lip 2 Precision Response 12” Subwoofer CS-2354 300WRMS (Jaycar) Black Leatherette Seats Red Stitching and Tickford Logo Embossed (eBay) Should be able to start Modding next Week.. (9th)

I'd reconsider this... seeing as its like a cm difference for $200, just get the XR6T snorkel. |

Love the subtle exterior mods, really makes it look "sleek" IMHO
(I.E. "factory ford" wheels, factory tail lights/front grill slighty modded)

 looks more like a mega olympic super competition trampoline than a speaker lol....

Guess what i got
and check out my butcher job... stupid torx bolt wont try that again... 
oh and pacies 4499s booked in tuesday... high flow cat,,, 2.5 inchs the whole way...
