LOL I say s**t!!!! My EL interior has been great!!!

He can't do the interior swap anyway, as then I would have to kill him.

Can't have two cars the same!!!!!!!!

Well Huggie, you can wait until my Red EB is stripped, then you can go for it.

well its well and truely overdue for an update. latest mods are:
fitted EA console (better condition then the EB one and looks better)
fitted a battery guage as the current cluster doenst display anything important...
i fitted the JBL 8" sub i had in the fairlane. here is something most probebly dont know, the parcel shelf fabrics are interchangable, the falcons ones are about 10mm wider and need to be trimmed to fit a fairlane, but the fairlane one fits the EB perfectly.

i went to the wreckers today and picked up an AU Rocker cover, Boot carpet, clock, sonsole pieces, stereo brackets, i went hunting for an ED grill but there was none in sight. there was a sexy looking Fairmont garnish... but i left it there.

i also built the sub box to fit under the parcel shelf as per this design:
Image

i just need someting like some dense foam to seal it against the parcel shelf as i dont want damage if i have to remove it.
Image
Image
it obviously doenst have the bottom on it as i need it off to attach it to the parcel shelf which then the bottom will be attached.
Image
this shows just how small the box is. (550x250x120)
Image
this shot shows inside when test fitted. NOTE: it isnt lined up properly as im trying to hold it and use the phone to take pics, but it lined up nicely
Image

here it the amp mounted. im using a Sony 4 channel to power the sub, its running bridged channels and workes great. i also used a sony 8 guage amp install kit, i went with 8g as its only a small amp running a small sub so i shouldnt have any issues.
Image
Image

i mounted the rear speakers to spacers to make them fit due to the size of the factory hole which has also worked in my favour under the parcel shelf
Image

here is my new clock and "wank factor" volt guage lol
Image

and last but not least, the new rockercover. not sure on the final design yet, might just be white with sanded fins, or white with blue flames, but at the tips of the flames fade it a little white...
Image
Image

i also fitted new front shocks (monroe gas) with dobson springs (stock height)

well that concludes my update for now. but stay tuned, as soon as i can find a new bonnet and drivers guard in the same colour there will be more updates.

i plan to do the EL interior... but not in the EB. that will happen in the Fairlane. im sick of modifications not going right, so if i keep most of them to one car then ill be safe lol

Hi Huggie

Looking good mate.

The sub box is an interesting idea, and I look forward to seeing you put it into use.

Re the AU rocker cover, before you do any more work on it, you need to check if it will fit on the EB head.

If you look closely at the half moon protrusions on the rocker cover, you will note that all the surfaces are curved. Now go and look at the EB head, and you will see that the half moon cut out has sharp edges where the half moon begins and ends, if you get my drift.

It will be difficult to get it to seal, as the AU rocker cover won't sit down in the hole correctly. I only found this out myself last weekend.

Late ED heads onwards will accept the EF/EL/AU rocker covers.

Sorry to be a mod piker, but better you know about it in advance.

i think you would have saved boot space by mounting the box forward against the seat

OK!!! Nice job.

Did you have any issues? Does it leak at all? Did you have to mod any part of it to fit?

This time you can be the teacher LOL

The springs will physically fit, but the front V8 springs will be stiffer and the car will sit higher as they were designed for the weight of the V8 engine.

The rear springs are the same.

well time for another update... i installed the sub box today and my god what a difference it makes. the bass is deeper and more tumpier then it was with the free to air setup. im very pleased with how it has turned out. only 1 small leak but isnt effecting the sub at all by the sounds of it.
Image
Image
as you can see it hardly uses any space at all. i will attach a white LED light or something simlar to the front to use for boot lighting. as the factory light is rather s**t lol.
this is the view from standing upright holding camera near face. you can hardly see it at all.
Image

i also finished (well apart from a lil touchup) the rockercover, i ended up googling tribal flames and came across this design which i changed to suit. took about 2 hours of careful cutting to get the flames but i think it came out rather good. im thinking i might throw this rockercover on the NC and buy another AU cover ($6) and do another design but in red, or use the Tickford cover i have, put on the new design all the way up, as its almost smooth all the way up apart from the text. i do have an EF cover here thats smooth all over but it has a rough finish at the moment and i cant be stuffed sanding it.
