well early this morning i headed out to bunnings and picked myself up some expanda foam and flashtac roll. as my boot is horrid with even the stuffed stock 8" let alone 2 12 inch subs. so i sprayed inside the channels with expanda foam and then covered the boot in strips of flashtac and i can honestly say it was well worth the 50 bucks as there is no more horrid rattles/ there is still plenty of movement still in the boot and my roof and my parcel shelf bounces around like there is no tomorrow due to the sub hole in the shelf.

also coming in the next few weeks are some new front splits and a new 300wrms monoblock amp both JBL

CS2165C - 6" component splits
CS300.1 monoblock

and the new gear coming shortly

well... im proud to say she is sounding damn good... took her up this morning and picked her up at about 1pm... 2.5" sports system with 1 muffler. it doesnt have a tip on it at the moment as i cant find it but he said when i find it take it back to him and he will weld it on free (normally 15 bucks) so when i get a few more $$ under my belt ill get the extractors fitted.

the amount of attention i got driving it home was amazine. i loved it. cant wait for rego in the next few days (oh and for those of you questioning it, it is LEGAL to drive an unregistered car to a workshop to get it repaired for a RWC providing you have a booking or can proove to police that you are going there ;) )

well here are some pics and a video clip of the sound... i love the roar

Nice ride. What you hatin on EF/ELs for hey? :P
Thats the amp I had a look at too, should be sweet.
With the flashtac, does it make that much of a difference to SPL? Also does it reduce the outside volume? I'm thinking I might have to go to Bunnings and get some this weekend. Much cheaper than Dynamat.

well i have noticed that there is more sound in the car (bass wise) and less outside which is what i was chasing.

i have been told that dynamat is cheaper in the long run as its thicker but with 2 cans of expanda foam and the roll of flash tac it cost me 50 bucks to do the boot. i looked at the door kits and they are like 70 bucks for a small piece so im going to stick to flashtac...

im going to do my roof and doors next then the floor see if i can get it really quiet.

Your moding this thing fairly quick. I like to as well, give's it some personal touch, rather than look like the car you got off somone else.
