to show how extensive the rust actually was... both windscreens had rust from one side to the other, the dog legs were completely gone, the rear wheel arches were held together by the chrome trims.

and to add to that. gearbox and diff needed a rebuild, the head gasket was completely gone, the LPG system didnt kill the injectors and if it froze it refused to run even on fuel, control arm bushes were gone, engine mounts, rear view mirror wouldnt stay on the glass, no matter what the exhaust just didnt want to line up properly steering rack was completely gone, heater and aircon didnt work.

compare all that to a $300 rust free EF with working aircon and heater, 5 brand new tyres, K&N filter, 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust, polyurethane bushes, 6 and a half years newer, drivers airbag and so forth.

im going to miss the LTD but its better off for me this way (and everyone else i believe)

the EF got rego yesterday. only issue was the thin hose that joins the 2 metal pipes under the manifold had a small split. fixed it up and its all good now.

yeah the LTD will be stripped. tho only the parts that have sold or i need. the rest is getting scrapped

ok i guess its time to update. a fair bit has gone on, all brakes are in, diff is in, motor is built and in and running. i just got my dump pipe back from my mate who welded it up for me.

just waiting on some longer spark plug leads, modify the handbrake, wait for my mate to finish the tune, then a few other small details like custom header tank and new black silicon vac hoses.
