Gave the car a good service today and fixed up a few things...

New plugs, oil filter, oil, gates racing belt, new upper radiator hose (in blue :) ), cleaned up thermostat housing, topped up coolant (took over 6ltrs to fill... whoops :? ), new windscreen washer motor (that has been pissing me off for AGES) and I've got a set of 9mm Eagle leads in blue on their way. Running much nicer. I've put it off for far too long!

I'm trying to get the engine bay into a more respectable state for the photo shoot coming up...

I also dropped a spare rocker cover I had to my panel beater to get it done in 2-pac.

He's also going to give my front bumper another go by painting it on the car and blending it into the guard. Hopefully that'll fix the problem of the different coloured front bumper...

So I had the (5 hours long) photo shoot for Street Fords today... :D :D :D :D :D

Spent all weekend (well Wiggy spent all weekend) detailing every square inch of the car to get it ready... HUGE thankyou to him.

Here's a few pics I took today... I wasn't too snap happy as I knew I'd be getting better shots from Rohan.

Note that the last two shots are HDR image (and not very good ones at that) Rohan was using all four of his tripods so I had to take the shots hand held... not ideal for shooting HDR as they lead to fairly soft images... Still good though :)

the car looks so smooth, especially with the front & rear bumpers, yet you left Gli taxi spec black strips on there

Tried Ghia colour coding but didn't like it. So I painted all the mouldings the same satin black. You'll notice the 4.0 decal thing is gone.

Personal preference thing. There's no formula for how to mod a car.

Besides. Taxi spec is all black. This is Futura spec 8-)

looking good sam,

have u got your winnings from nova yet?

with the black door strips, have u thought about blackened b pillars on the doors, fairmont style, they sort of tie the tinted windows together.
get some 2" black insulation tape and black them out , see if u like it.

Looking good dude, photos look great too, nice work 8-)

Every time i see this car, i keep thinking of how good it would look with a subtle bobtail/bootlip spoiler, i reckon it would go well with the style of the rear bumper.

Will be waiting to see it feature in Street Fords

Thanks guys. Stoked all round at the moment. Life's good.

Craig; I got the winnings yesterday...

I have tried exactly what you said once before... blacking out the pillars. Looks ok. Not all that noticeable due to the car already being a dark colour. Fairly low on my "to do" list at the moment... Unless you're offering to coming do it for me?

KWIKXR; I've often thought that as well. Any suggestions of what to use? I would love to put a bonnet bulge on at the same time.
