Nah the 6x9s I've got in there now are fine. It's only for the boot after all... They're plain and match the boot and are fairly well matched to the amp so all is good!

Alright!
YOu better enter into AFD!! Lol...

Hey mate, How did you carpet the parcel shelf?

I was looking at doing it in my car but it looked like the carpet that is there was molded.

I bought some UV stable auto-carpet that had no solid backing so it could be stretched with enough force. The same sort of stuff you use on sub boxes.

Then I just started at one end and slowly pushed. pulled and stretched it to fit.

Bad news...

I've been in QLD for the week... was amazing...

But before I left, this happened...

Stupid b**ch backed into me while I was at work.

Didn't do a massive amount of damage but I'll still need a new tail light and will need to get my rear bumper stripped, re-fibreglassed and painted.

Thankfully a dozen people saw her do it so she had to come and find me and give me her details... Only problem is, I haven't been able to contact her so far. And I stupidly forgot to get her rego number because I was so p****d off about my car. I have a name, mobile number and license number so hopefully they're all real.

I'm hoping I can get it all sorted before the AFD but I'm not holding my breath... Bloody women drivers...

Lady payed out... I can smile again :D

So car's booked in to get the seats re-trimmed on Monday then off the the panel beaters for an unknown number of days on Tuesday to get the damage fixed along with a few other blemishes... Hopefully it'll be ready by AFD... Otherwise I'll be Foot Falconing it around on the day.

Got seats back tonight... The colour is a near perfect match now. Only those who knew the material was different would be able to tell it's not exactly the same.

And they are damn comfy now. I don't arrive at my destination with a numb a**. Amazing what a little extra padding will do.

Car's off to the panel beaters tomorrow morning to get the rear bumper along with a few other little things done.

that BBM is a bit of an eye catcher lol, but i like it.

didnt you have EF GT skirts on it a while back? im not a fan of the XR skirts with the GR bumpers, just doesnt match up with the shapes, but i love it overall

Lol... the BBM colour was originally a mistake I made but decided I liked so never ended up changing! My battery terminals and isolator switches are now gold as well so it all matches!

Nah mate. I've always had Ticky skirts. It's what this kit comes with as the front and rear bars are designed to flow with the front and rear "bumps" on the Tickford side skirts. The original EL GT front and rear bars are nothing like this one. They had to accommodate for the wheel arch add-ons. If you look carefully at my kit and the original EL GT kit there's only a few similarities. I reckon the Tickford skirts suit my kit more than the EL GT skirts would...

Cheers mate! That took most of the day before to do.

I felt pretty good about it until I saw these engine bays...

(The first one won the category)
