Hey guys, got the dash and cab to engine wiring fully out (from the XG's SOHC)and have started gutting everything out of the dash the only stuff I'm keeping is the drivers side wiring/fuse box etc as I only need the cluster wiring and I'll leave all the exterior lighting wiring etc.will remove all the ac heater box and put away for the XFN

Some of the outer windscreen trims screws have rusted that bad I can't use a screwdriver to remove them.any suggestions on how to get these out?

Cheers Johnny.

Looks a bit like my car at the moment.

Related to that and to your question - I had a stuck as screw under the centre console mat part. I used friction drops on a PH1 screwdriver to get it in there. https://www.ebay.com/p/Bondhus-94205-Screw-Grab-Friction-Drops/691050768

It's just gritty stuff. Maybe something like hand wash with grit in it would work in a pinch, or some carborundum crumbled off of sandpaper? Obviously give em a soak in some kind of penetrating oil/spray too.

Hey Benno, will definitely get some of that-these scews have rusted flat nothing left for the screwdriver to grab what so ever.
On another note I found a package at my door this morning so I bowed to it and said"arh bok choy san-Origato" so is bigger than I thought it was and upon mocking it up I found it will only really work one way with the J/Up pipe and thats with the screamer pipe go up.It can't go the way it should because it fowls on the pitman arm

Cheers Johnny.

So upon a bit of thought,I can make my own ss adapter from the flanges that came with the BCW (bok choy wastegate) that just offsets the wastegate so it can come down and out in front of the XG's drag link set up.

Cheers Johnny.

Hey guys, bit scary with the website going down recently hey-anyway have been trying an idea I've had for a while and with a engine oil cooler,my theory is as rpm gets higher and most of the oil is at the top of the engine the oil from the cooler should help keep an adequate amount of oil in the sump preventing oil starvation but unlike an acumulator its not at pressure except for normal engine oil pressure.but my concern is will this change the oil pressure in the engine itself?

Cheers Johnny.

Hey Mad, for a street car yes it would be too low,am making a lower lip for it (removable to get on/off trailer)but the bottom of the oil cooler is the same height as the lowest part of the sump-it does look lower than it actually is.

So last brackets (well sort of last) are the radiator brackets which will be a slip fit type top and bottom and rather than trying to work it out then get it welded-I'm going to make the brackets myself and try for the first time aluminum brazing to do it. So on the look for a good blow torch.
