With your dash is that factory Black ?
or did you paint it. if you painted it what did you use
Thanks
Lucion :)

G'day Lucion,
I painted the dash myself using vinyl dye.
For the dash/softer squishy parts:
I cleaned it with prepsol/wax and grease remover and then gave it a bit of a light sand before cleaning it again. Then I masked it all off and used Motospray Satin Black Vinyl dye and painted it in the car. Door trim parts I did the same but outside the car.
For the hard plastics:
I cleaned and sanded the same way but then used coats of Motospray plastic primer, matt black and clear coat. They came up a treat but just got to make sure you take your time doing it.

Spent the Sunday changing the intake for the turbo..
Instead of it now just being where the battery was I have plumbed it down through the battery tray behind the front bumper where it will receive significantly more fresh cold air as opposed to sucking in hot air from the engine bay.
Used two 4" 90 degree stainless steel bends and added it to the straight section.

After

Its bolted down to the battery tray so its nice and solid and the pod sits almost directly behind the fog lamp..

Thanks mate. Not sure on the engineering side of things. Still seems to be pretty hard here in Vic from everything I've read and looked into but will keep it in mind and might try to one day if the opportunity comes up and it seems possible without huge costs..

Started on a bit of a boot install over the last few weeks at night after work. Just been making it up as I go and I'm pretty happy with it so far.

Plans are to finish the side walls and screw the amps to the back wall.
The sub is 12" Pioneer 400W RMS slimline sub with Pioneer mono block amp and another 4 channel Pioneer amp for the other speakers. I already had that one but the sub and amp are different to what I had previously.

Just slowly been workin away at the boot. Progress so far which shows access for gas tank, petrol tank (behind amp), amps attached and mostly wired in and the passenger side wall.

Finally finished my boot last night! Yet to carpet it all but at least I'm done on all the wood work :D
I wired in some LED strips instead of the pissy little light that comes in the boot. Lights it up nicely and adds a better effect than a single globe. Pictures are a little glary and looks better in person

I have at home an EF Fairmont in pretty ordinary condition on the outside but thats not the reason I have it. I will be pulling the diff out of it to use for my rebuild. Before I go chasing any more power I am going to need a stronger diff but most of all I want an LSD.
So I have on the way a few goodies:
3.45 diff gears
Harrop Trutrac
Super pro rear bush kit

Thought I would take out the diff from the EF, clean it up, paint it, get it rebuilt, re bush it and put it in the turbo. Should do the trick i think! :D
