howdy Ya'll!!!!Your probably on your way to the morning commute doing whatever it is you do for $$$$. Its 4:07 pm here in ft. worth Texas on a beautiful sunday afternoon.

okay enough twang talk. Ive been building a 1981 ford fairmont coupe over the past year and thoughtyou guys would like to see an american drag car in the making.

I started with a 4 cylinder/auto car that would barely pull itself to 20 mph.coughing, wheezing and slowly dying.I guess not bad for $400.00 US
here are some the before pics

dont pay attention to the missouri license plate,it got here eventually.

who the hell drinks Budweiser? it's an american beer. i'll enjoy myself a nice Victoria Bitter. lol. it's nice to see you can actually handwash your cars in the US. we can't due to water restriction because of the drought.

i didn't think the same model car could look so different between countries. this is my old 84 Australian Ford Fairmont. the 81 model looks very similiar.

by the way. those wheels aren't the standard wheels. i put them on. they are 1997 model wheels off a Ford Falcon EL XR8

yeah sorry,i was post happy!

so whats up in australia?I am not complaining to you guys about the 106 degree heat we have been enduring.you probably deal with it all the time.

My name is karl,I live in Fort worth texas.Im37 and have only been to mexico 2 or 3 times, never been any further.flying restrictions are murder here because of the damn terrorists.I have been building mostly foxbody(79-93)stangs for the past few years.this was my first fairmont.Ive had a another 1 since buying this ,but sold it.4 door-I6 with a c4 trans.good car, just found a buyer who would give me a profit over my cost.so it went bye bye.
trying to find good 2 door fairmonts is something like hens teeth.
